How long does an Australian passport take, and how much is it?

As of October 15, 2026, the Australian Passport Office allows up to 6 weeks for a routine passport, and a 10-year adult passport costs A$422 (A$213 for a child), at fees in force since 1 January 2026. Priority processing in 2 business days adds A$308 and Fast Track in 5 days A$107, for eligible applicants in Australia.
