How long does a Canadian passport take, and how much is it?

As of November 3, 2026, IRCC’s service standard is 10 business days for applications made in person at a passport office and 20 business days for those sent by mail, online or from the United States, not counting mailing time. Since March 31, 2026, a 10-year adult passport costs CA$163.50 in Canada (CA$266.25 from abroad) and a 5-year one CA$122.50. Need a photo for another document, such as a U.S. or visa photo? The short version
