Questions people ask

What file does a K-ETA application need for the photo?

A color JPG of your face, 20 MB at most. The same limit applies to the image of your passport bio page, which the application also asks for.

On a computer you upload the file yourself; the K-ETA mobile app resizes both images for you. The K-ETA site gives no pixel dimensions.

Can you wear a hijab, hat or sunglasses in a K-ETA photo?

A hijab or other religious clothing worn for religious reasons is accepted, as long as the whole face from forehead to chin is clear. Hats, scarves worn as accessories and sunglasses are not.

Skip busy, brightly patterned tops: the FAQ recommends clothing with less colorful patterns.
